Fence types

Find out in more detail about the various types of fencing we can install for you and the individual benefits of each

Lap Fence Panels

We can supply lap panels in four different sizes, each panel is 6 ft wide with heights that vary between 3, 4, 5 and 6 ft (these are 900, 1200, 1500 and 1800mm respectively)

The lap panel is available in a light brown, gold or dark brown colour.

It is important to remember when buying a panel that posts come in only two colours, these being light brown (also known as green) or dark brown. This type of fencing is simple to erect making it an excellent choice for your garden fencing.

We supply lap panels fully framed with five vertical battens as opposed to the more commonly sold three or four batten varieties. This makes the lap panels a stronger, longer lasting alternative

Closeboard Fence Panels

Closeboard Panels are great for fencing more exposed locations.

They offer superior durability and strength over lap panels. Easier and faster to install than the component form of closeboard fencing, this panel is ideal if you want an attractive, strong fence without the hassle.

To get the longest life from a closeboard fence panel, we recommend that you use concrete slotted posts and gravel boards.

Closeboard Fencing

Closeboard fencing is the most popular type of garden fencing.

Closeboard fencing is easy to erect and built on site in kit form. Closeboard fencing is a long lasting, sturdy fence and is constructed using a range of products. The core items include featheredge boards, arris rails, gravel boards, fence posts and postfix.

Picket Fencing

Picket fencing is ideal for homes with pets or children.

A picket fence is great for dividing areas of your garden and is suitable for protecting children and pets from swimming pools and garden ponds.Picket fencing, also known as palisade fencing, is great in gardens as it is often used at low heights such as 900mm high so that it does not obstruct your view or block out the light. Picket fence panels are a popular option for creating unobtrusive boundaries in your garden to protect children and animals. These attractive panels are also commonly seen in front gardens.
