Gates

Information on the many types of gate SG fencing can supply and install to your exact specification and requirements

Garden gates (Low)

Palisade gates are a popular, strong, usually low-level gate that matches the palisade fencing and can also be used with chain-link fencing.

The Pinewood gate is also a good small gate.
Gates to match closeboard fencing and lap panels are available.

Garden Gates (Tall)

We are able to supply gates up to 2.4m in height, although the most popular gate is suitable for a 1.8m high fence.

With garden gates it is normal to allow a hanging tolerance of 50mm below the gate which means that most gates suitable for 1800mm high fencing are in fact 1750mm high. Tall timber gates include closeboard, palisade and tongued and grooved gates, sometimes known as TGV Gates.

To get the longest life from a closeboard fence panel, we recommend using concrete slotted posts and gravel boards.

Driveway Gates (Softwood)

Closeboard fencing is the most popular type of garden fencing

Closeboard fencing is easy to erect and built on site in kit form. Closeboard fencing is a long lasting, sturdy fence and is constructed using a range of products. The core items include featheredge boards, arris rails, gravel boards, fence posts and postfix.

Driveway Gates (Hardwood)

Hardwood driveway gates are available in either standard sizes or special sizes please ask us for a quotation.

Hardwood driveway gates are available to suit manual operation or gate automation where the gate is strengthened. These gates are not treated, so will require treatment with Linseed oil or similar.
